A collectable hand painted Tie by Hugh Dunford Wood.
From a struggling beginning, Hugh Dunford Wood’s hand painted silk ties became very desirable. They were stocked by Blades of Savile Row and Harrods, and his creations were purchased and adored by style icons throughout the 1980s, with clientele that included, the late Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Woody Allen, John Cleese and even members of the Royal Family.
A bow tie donated by Blades of London is in the V&A collection.
In exceptional unused condition, the tie is in its original packaging and is suitable for dry cleaning only.
