The ultimate Historical gift.

This is a limited edition pair of unframed facsimile pages reproduced from the original Midshipman’s log that was written (complete with water smudge) on board HMS Victory on the eve of the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

A copy is held in the Nelson Norfolk Museum , and the events recorded within the document are confirmed in the definitive ‘Life of Nelson’ by Robert Southey.

In the Trafalgar bicentenary year of 2005, permission was granted for the Thaxted Galleries (our retail gallery) to produce a limited edition of 1250 copies from the original pair of log pages.

These facsimiles were for exclusive use within this worldwide limited edition commemorative collectable.

After the print run was complete, all of the origination and printing plates were destroyed.

Supplied Unframed (62cm X 50cm) sealed in cellophane, in an antique white and hand numbered mount.

The log transcript is printed in red and black onto a parchment style paper and attached to the back.
